Published by Guangyi Book Company in 1924, this elementary character dictionary sorts entries by traditional radicals, with illustrations, early Chinese phonetic symbols and vernacular definitions for pupils. It uses old Republican phonetic notation and radical lookup, which is totally different from modern Hanyu Pinyin dictionaries, a precious lexicon relic before modern Chinese character reform. 昆山朱孝怡
